Reception

On June 4, from 18:00 to 20:00, all attendees are invited to join the reception that will take place in the courtyard of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, an interesting building of the XVII century. The registration to the conference will be done during the reception.

Gaudí Tour

On June 5, all attendees are invited to join the Gaudí Tour after the conference sessions. Buses with touristic guides will pick up all the participants at 17:30 in front of the conference building, and will take us to visit two of the most famous works of Antoni Gaudí: the Parc Güell and the Sagrada Família. The tour will end about 20:30, when the buses will leave us at Plaça Catalunya (very close to the hotels). Please recall that 2002 is the international  Gaudí year: Barcelona commemorates the 150th anniversary of Gaudí's birth with exibitions, conferences, publications, etc.

Conference Dinner

On June 6, all attendees are invited to join the conference dinner at 20:30 at the restaurant Peixerot. This restaurant is very well known for their fish dishes, but there will also be a vegetarian menu, as well as some possibility of eating meat instead of fish.

Lunch

All attendees to the conference and the previous workshop will be given tickets that will allow them to have free lunch at the Menjadors Universitaris from June 4 to June 7. Lunch is provided at the first floor, in a "all you can eat" self service system. The agreement with the Menjadors Universitaris includes after lunch coffee at the ground floor.

Coffee and orange juice

Besides the morning and afternoon coffee breaks, there will be the possibility of having coffee or tea all day long, as well as making your own fresh made squeezed orange juice at the auxiliary room (coffee breaks room).

Computers room

The computers room will provide several PC with connection to internet (telnet, ssh, ftp, web browser), some basic software (ghostview, acroread), and printer. The room will be open from 9:00 to 18:00.

Working room

The auxiliary room (coffee breaks room) will also have tables and chairs to allow people to meet and work in small groups. Nevertheless, anyone needing any special room or any other facility may contact the organizers, who will try to provide it.

Information for students

In order to facilitate that students are able to attend the 18th Annual ACM Symposium on Computational Geometry (Barcelona, 5-7 July 2002) a special effort has been done regarding the cost. Besides that, no additional funding is possible, and no individualized support may be considered.
